Tonight at 10pm UK time, United take on MLS team Chicago Fire at the Toyota Park Stadium. Currently standing 8th in the Eastern Conference, the US team are known for their attacking intent - something SAF will have looked at. This is the preview on the Official United Website: http://www.manutd.com/en/Tour-2011/Tour-2011-News/2011/Jul/chicago-fire-v-united.aspx reported by @nickcoppack of ManUtd.com
It will be interesting to see how SAF uses the team tonight. He has already said debuts will be handed to David de Gea and Phil Jones. Furthermore we can expect to see the likes of Tom Cleverley and Danny Welbeck; having joined the tour after the Euro U21 Championships.
If I was the boss for tonight's match I would use the youth - therefore my team for tonight would be: De Gea, Fabio, Vidic, Jones, Evra, Obertan, Carrick, Cleverley, Welbeck, Rooney, Berbatov.
I am personally a great admirer of Tom Cleverley, and having watched the 22 year old on his last loan spell at Wigan; I believe the versatile midfielder could develop into a world class player. You can check out my next blog on Tom Cleverley.
