It has been a while since the tournament in Poland and Ukraine, in which not one United player lifted the prestigious trophy. However, how did our boys fare for their respected countries? Well Phil Jones, Wayne Rooney, Danny Welbeck and Ashley Young all competed for England. Whilst Patrice Evra did so for France and Nani for Portugal. I won't count Lindegaard by the way (he only warmed a bench like Jonesy).
So, here goes....
Phil Jones:
Yeh, in my opinion he did really well.. apart from the fact that he didn't play a single second. Oops.
Wayne Rooney:
Played two games, scored 1 goal, had 6 shots, 3 on target. The press and nation slammed him for his poor preformances. He looked unfit. He was unfit. It wasn't Wazza. Maybe it wasn't Wazza and maybe it will never be Wazza for England. I will give him a big fat 3.2/10.
Danny Welbeck:
Well, this was his chance to show the world what he was made of. Started every game and scored 1 goal. Now technically that isn't a brilliant statistic but in my opinion the lad showed his sumptous, raw talent. He was actually one of England's best players over the tournament. I will give him 6.9/10. Congrats Danny.
Ashley Young:
Mmm, Ashley. He was dubbed to be England's best player pre-tournament. But he was said to be England's worst player post-tournament. I don't agree but he was.. shite. 3.3/10 Ash.
Patrice Evra:
Started the game Vs England and was then dropped to the bench for the much better Gael Clichy. His form over the last few seasons has dropped. His form in the French jersey didn't better this contemporary opinion of the left-back. He is on his way down and his life in Poland and Ukraine emphasised this I am afraid Monsieur Evra. 3.1/10
Luis Nani:
By far the best out of the boys. Started every match and was one of Portugal's best players. Well done Luis. 8/10.
Poor United.
Haha good wit
